Ryan Engels


Ryan Engels is an intern with the Connecticut Racial Profiling Prohibition Project at the Institution for Municipal & Regional Policy. He is currently in his third year at the University of Connecticut, where he majors in political science and is a participant in the Fast-Track M.P.A. Program. Ryan brings experience from all levels of government to IMRP, including in his hometown as a land use commissioner and advisor to various boards & commissions, and internships with the U.S. House of Representatives, Connecticut Secretary of the State, General Assembly, and local government.

Upon graduation from UConn in 2027, Ryan intends to complete his M.P.A., before heading to law school and eventually becoming an attorney. He is passionate about issues surrounding governance and the environment.
