Michelle Montano
Project Assistant with the Policing Initiative
Michelle Montano is currently in her final semester working towards earning a M.A. in Political Psychology through Arizona State University. Her graduate coursework is centered around understanding and unpacking the psychological mechanisms that drive political behavior. She began working as an intern with the IMRP in June of 2021 and now works as a project assistant with the Policing Initiative born out of the work of the Police Transparency and Accountability Task Force. Before coming to the IMRP, Michelle earned a B.S. in Marketing from Central Connecticut State University.
Outside of academia, Michelle has spent the last 10 years working as a professional dancer in New York City, NY and Los Angeles, CA. Her time immersed in the arts has helped her cultivate a unique perspective grounded in artistic expression, creativity, and open-mindedness that she hopes to apply to her professional work moving into the future. She currently resides in Westchester, NY and is thrilled to be a part of the IMRP staff.
