Victoria Jaskaran


Victoria Jaskaran joined the Institute for Municipal and Regional Policy (IMRP) under Dr. Vaughn Crichlow as a Research Assistant in November of 2023 and had the opportunity to continue her work after graduation. She is a recent alum of the University of Connecticut School of Public Policy, having completed the Master of Public Policy program in May of 2024 to prepare for her career in the public sector. Before moving to Connecticut for her graduate studies, Victoria attended Saint John’s University in New York. She graduated with a BA in Global Development and Sustainability and a minor in Government and Politics in 2022.

Victoria is interested in environmental policy as it relates to climate justice in urban areas. She plans to use her professional experience and academic background to inform her future work on developing and evaluating equitable climate resilience policies.

Victoria spends her free time making music, stories, and art. She enjoys being in nature and with friends and family, including her two dogs.
